Positive Behavioral Support (PBS) is a comprehensive approach designed to enhance the quality of life by addressing and reducing challenging behaviors. The strategy focuses on replacing negative behaviors with newly learned skills while proactively eliminating environmental triggers. PBS is an evolving framework that incorporates principles from applied behavior analysis, person-centered values, and the normalization/inclusion movement. The ultimate goal is to foster a lifestyle that encourages positive behavior and overall well-being.
Our goal is to support individuals in achieving the life they envision by creating a therapeutic environment based on person-centered practices and positive behavior strategies. We encourage active involvement from both the individual and their support team to create a customized behavior plan. We believe that a person-centered approach is essential to the process, guiding the development of the behavior support plan.
Services Offered
Our team conducts a thorough, comprehensive assessment of each applicant’s functional abilities, which is performed by a licensed professional. Based on the assessment, a tailored positive support plan is created and implemented, incorporating person-centered strategies aimed at fostering positive behaviors.
We offer three levels of staffing, which include Professional, Analyst, and Specialist, with varying hours based on individual needs. Our team is committed to providing flexible support within the timeframes that work best for the individual.
